The main goal of this subject is to provide the fundamentals of the concepts and procedures related to the surgical tools and instruments. In particular: wounds, traumas, hemorrhages and shock, fractures, anesthesia, fluid and electrolyte balance, substance administration, nutritional support, responses to stress, trauma and surgery, preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care, accident prevention, transplants.

In order to develop the contents of the subject, visits to hospital environments will be carried out. Due to the limitations of access to these environments for reasons of prevention, safety and operability of the clinical service visited, a maximum group of 12 students will be defined for the teaching modalities associated with these visits.
