Jesus Casquete holds a M.A. in Political Science (New School for Social Research, 1996), a Ph.D. in Sociology (UPV/EHU) and Ph.D. in History (Technische Universität, Berlin). He is Professor in History of Political Theory and History of Social Movements in the Fac. of Social and Communication Sciences. Over the years he has enjoyed scholarships of the Humbold Foundation at different German research facilities and universities (Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung, Humboldt Universität in Berlin, and Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität, Munich), and since 2014 fellow at the Center for Research on Antisemitism in Berlin. His research topics include the theory of collective action and of social movements, political philosophy, Basque nationalism and the history of German National Socialism. His monographies include: Política, cultura y movimientos sociales (Bakeaz, 1998), El poder de la calle. Ensayos sobre acción colectiva (CEPC, 2006), En el nombre de Euskal Herria (Tecnos, 2009), Nazis a pie de calle (Alianza, 2017) eta Mártires nazis. Alemania, 1920-1939 (Alianza, 2020, in press).
