Degree in Economics with best students’ record award (2005) and Phd in Public Policies in the European Union with high distinction (2011) at the University of the Basque Country, she is lecturer of economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Bilbao Sarriko (SEDE) since November 2009.

Her research interests are on the field of the Economics of Pensions. She has made contributions in several journals such as Feminist Economics, Journal of Pension Economics and Finance, Panoeconomicus or International Review of Applied Economics.

Coordinator of projects on teaching innovation in economics, she has a compromise with the introduction of cooperative and active teaching methodologies in the classroom. In this context, she has contributed with free-access publications on PBL teaching and student’s material applied to the subject “Introduction to Economics II: Principles of Macroeconomics” available among IKD-baliabideak published by the UPV/EHU.

Originator and member of the structural team EHGIn-EcoESS to promote economic education towards sustainability.
