José Manuel Llamazares is a Family Physician who owns a fixed place in Osakidetza since 1st February 2018, currently working at the Ortuella Health Centre belonging the OSI Ezkerraldea-Enkarterri-Cruces
He is an acting labour Professor at the University of the Basque Country with a dedication of 3 hours per week in the Department of Nursery in the Faculty of Medicine of Nursery
He is a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery after defending the thesis “The tuberculous disease in Bilbao at the beginning of the XXIst century disease in 1993” on July 29, 2012. The results of this path of research, led by Dr. Franco Vicario since 1968 have been taken to different world, national and regional congresses which are available on the website of the Tuberculosis Observatory in Bilbao: http://ehu.es/tuberculosis_bilbao
He is a member of the Bilbao Academy of Medical Sciences, and he is an auditor of the “Gaceta Medica de Bilbao” journal (Gac Med Bilbao) belonging to the writing counselling.
He is a partner of ACINAR (Cantabrian Association for Investigation in Respiratory System) and he is also a member of AIRE (The Group Investigation in Respiratory System from Basque Country).
He belongs to OSATZEN (Basque Society of Family and Community Medicine) and to his “Inequities in Health” group since 14th February 2020
