She is a nurse by the University of the Vasque Country (UPV/EHU) (1983), specialist in Mental Health by the U. Complutense of Madrid (1985), with the qualification of outstanding. Bachelor of Law (2001) and PhD of Law (2011) by the UPV/EHU, with the grade of outstanding “cum laude”. Expert in Criminal Mediation by the U. of La Rioja (2014) and Practices in Health Mediation Systems (2016) at the U. de Barcelona, obtaining in both titles the grade of outstanding.
She worked her first years as a generalist nurse (1983-1985). Since 1986 she has been a professor at the faculty of Nurse and Medicine of UPV / EHU - San Sebastián-.
She was Director of the School of Nursing of San Sebastián. She has held the positions of Director of Quality of the Campus of Gipuzkoa, Academic Secretary in the IVAC-KREI. She is currently Academic Secretary of the Department of Nursing II.
Shee belongs to the Advisory Board of the Antonio Beristain Chair and is a member of the Basque Association of Vyctimology.
She obtained the VIII Prize Law and Health (2012) for the work entitled The responsibility of the professional for defective health care in light of the organizational conditions granted by the Association of Health Lawyers.
Her line of work focuses on the description of the circumstances in which health care takes place and the application of health mediation as a strategy in the resolution of conflicts resulting from faulty health care.
