My research work has been mainly focused on the microscopic study of ferroic phase transitions from a theoretical and computational point of view.

During the PhD thesis I worked in the A2BX4 ferroelectric family (A = K, Rb, Cs, B = Se, Zn, Cr). I performed static atomistic calculations (structural simulations and phonons with rigid ion models) and simulations of molecular dynamics. After the Ph.D., I enjoyed a two-year postdoctoral contract at the Laboratoire Léon Brillouin in Saclay, and started a series of works related to the application of the Fi4 model to the study of phase transitions in solids.

Currently I continue the same line of research on several fronts, all of them related to computational physics. On the one hand, the application of DFT methods to propose structural models based on the superspatial formalism. On the other hand, I am also studying the magnetic order in organic materials derived from copper complexes together with the microscopic investigation of the phases of the cement searching for the prediction of new crystalline structures, and mechanism of formation.
