Graduated in Biology with special mention in Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2016, Master's Degree in Microbiology and Health of the UPV/EHU in 2017, and International PhD in Microbiology in 2023 by the UPV/EHU. Since February 2022 she has been a interim lecturer in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the UPV/EHU, in the Faculty of Pharmacy.

She is a member of the "Fungal and Bacterial Biomics Research Group (Microbiomics)" of the UPV/EHU, and of the consolidated group of the Basque Government (GV) "Microbes: environment and health (MIMAS) [IT1657-22]". She has participated in 6 research projects funded by the GV and the UPV/EHU, and has co-authored 12 scientific publications, 18 contributions to international and 16 national conferences. Most of these publications are related with the pathogenic fungi Scedosporium/Lomentospora, on which she has mainly focused her research career, as well as other pathogenic fungi of the genera Candida, Aspergillus and Mucor.
