My professional career began in 2010 with the Biochemistry degree at the University of the Basque Country. During this year I collaborated in the laboratory with the help of the Basque Government collaboration grant. In 2011, I completed the Biomedical Research Master, with a grant from the Gangoiti Barrera Foundation. In 2012, I started my doctoral thesis, due to the funding from the University of the Basque Country. Before obtaining my doctorate, I made a stay at the Regional Center for Biomedical Research (UCLA) and another stay at the NIH, Washington DC.

Derived from my predoctoral work I made more than ten communications in congresses, I published three articles as first author and others in collaboration, all of them in impact journals both Q1 and Q2 of JCR. In 2017, I obtained a contract from the French Ministry of Science and Health (INSERM) with which I made a postdoctoral stay at the University of Bordeaux. At the end of 2017, I joined the UPV / EHU Department of Cell Biology and Histology as a teacher and researcher. During this period, I have taught in different subjects, such as the Degree in Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy, and in the Master in Biomedical Research.
