LEIRE ERKOREKA GONZALEZ

Medical graduate from the University of Navarra, she completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University Hospital Basurto between 2006 and 2010. She has developed most of her clinical career in the Basque Health Service-Osakidetza. She worked in temporary posts between 2010 and 2013 at the Biscay Mental Health Network and the Cruces University Hospital until she became permanent statutoty staff in 2013, after passing a public employment test in 2012. She currently develops her clinical work in the Psychiatry Service of Galdakao-Usansolo Hospital. She has also worked as an Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country since 2013 and is a member of the Mental Health Network research group at BioCruces-Bizkaia Health Research Institute. In the clinical field, she has done her expertize in personality disorders, including two stays in internationally renowned centers. In the research field, she has focused her work in the genetic study of mental disorders, and she conducted her PhD on the gen-environment interaction of cluster B personality disorders. She has made most of her cientific production in this area.
