Biochemist and molecular biologist with MSc and PhD in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine (International mention, Cum Laude). I am passionate about the human biology and driven by the curiosity of how our body works both in physiological and pathological conditions.
I have more than 6 years of experience in biomedical research first as a Research assistant in the Genetics and Epigenetics of Complex Diseases Group at the UPV/EHU (2014-2016) and them as predoctoral (2016-2021) and postdoctoral (2021-2022) researcher in the Multiple Sclerosis Group at the Biodonostia HRI. I have also made stays at the Genetics lab at the Donostia University Hospital (2015) and in the Non-coding RNA lab at the Aarhus University (Denmark) (2019). These research experiences have gave me a solid background in molecular biology, genetics, transcriptomics, biomarker research and immunology.
I believe in the importance of science outreach and thus, have participated in more than 20 conferences, collaborated in 14 scientific publications in high impact journals (7 as first author) and in several science outreach and dissemination publications.
Regarding my teaching experience, I have mentored several intern students and supervised an end of degree project in biomedical sciences (Universitat de Barcelona). Since 2023 march, I teach physiology to first year medicine students, biophysics to physiotherapy students and “health and physical activity” in the University Title in human Sciences at
