Xabier Renteria-Uriarte is Phd in Economics and Business Sciences, and Professor of World Economy and Management at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He translates to Western economics and science the implications of the existential search, considering the legacy and principles of wisdom traditions, mainly the Eastern ones, under the guidances of our deepness, meditation, happiness and love, and of the sharing and gifting societies, following the research agenda and ontoepistemology stablished in Hacia una Economía Holográfica (2013). Some applications are in wise economics, sharing economies, contemplative science and economics, positive psychology, economic love, socioeconomic development, rock music or ancient worldview of Basques (see https://ehu.academia.edu/XabierRenteriaUriarte) (http://orcid.org/0000-0001-6345-4067). He was Director of the School of Business Studies of Bilbao (2009-2012, after being Deputy Director 1998-2009). He founded a group of meditation with Zen master and University teacher Rafael Redondo at the University of the Basque Country. He has been involved in social activism in different Basque organizations, now in Euskal Sena Taldea and Biltzarre.
