Ms in Chemistry (1993), Kutxa End-of-Studies Award, and PhD in Chemistry (1998) from the EHU. Ms. in Environmental Sciences (2012) and Master's in "Teaching and Research Training for Higher Education" (2009) from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). She teaches "Environmental Technologies" and "Chemical Foundations of Engineering" in the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Degree and "Resource Engineering - Urban Mining" in the Master's program in "Infrastructure Engineering and Sustainable Construction." Senior Researcher in the "Polymer Physics of Advanced Multiphasic Polymers" (POLYMAT) group. Three six-year research periods (sexenios). Visiting Researcher at the Emulsion Polymers Institute at Lehigh University (Pennsylvania, USA, 2001). Participation in 27 research projects (Principal Investigator in three of them) funded by European, national, and regional sources. Co-author of 45 JCR-indexed articles. Research lines focused on the development and characterization of advanced polymeric materials: modification of biodegradable and semicrystalline polymers to improve their thermal, mechanical, flame resistance, and 3D printing properties.

Participation in Educational Innovation Projects related to sustainability and the application of ICTs to teaching.
