Graduated (2003) and PhD (2008) in Pharmacy (UPV/EHU). Her thesis focused on the study of the expression and regulation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and GIRK potassium channels in the central nervous system, as well as their implications for the treatment of depression. During this period, she collaborated with the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona and was part of the Ciber-SAM.
2009-2011: Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Molecular, Cell & Systems Biology (University of Glasgow). She specialized in molecular pharmacology studying the interactions that control the dimerization process of GPCRs.
Since 2005: professor at the School of Nursing of Vitoria-Gasteiz and since the end of 2011 she has been working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, currently as Associate Professor.
She is member of the NanoBioCel research group and is part of the Ciber-BBN, providing technical support to the Nanbiosis platform. Her lines of research focus on the development of advanced therapies based on the development of bioinks for 3D (bio)printing for tissue regeneration and tissue engineering, as well as on the nanoencapsulation of active ingredients.
2017-2021: President of the Ethics Committee on Research with Biological Agents and Genetically Modified Organisms (CEIAB) and member of the Research and Teaching Ethics Committee (CEID / IIEB) of the UPV/EHU.
Since March 2021 she is Vice-Dean of External Practices of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the UPV/
