ARANTXAZU ISLA RUIZ

Arantxa Isla obtained her Degree and her Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of the Basque Country (Extraordinary Degree Award) in 1999 and 2006, respectively. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy and Food Sciences. She carries out teaching activities in the Pharmacy degree and in the Master in Pharmacology, Development, Evaluation and Rational Use of Medicines and in the University Expert Degree in Practical Healthcare Pharmacy.. She also participates and is member of the academic committee of the Doctoral Program in “Research and Evaluation of Drugs. Application of Pharmaceutical Technologies to the Development of Advances Therapies”

She belongs to the PharmaNanoGene Research Group dependent on the University of the Basque Country (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) and collaborates in different research lines biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics ad pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic analysis. She has participated in several contracts with different pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies and research projects. She has supervised 6 PhD Thesis and has published more than papers in international journals.
