Lauren Etxepare is an architect from the School of Architecture of San Sebastián (2000) and a Doctor from the University of the Basque Country (2008). Associated Professor between 2012 and 2022, nowadays is Titular profesor. He has taught in the Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture, the Official Master of Research in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Building and Urbanism (2010-2016) and the Master in Rehabilitation, Restoration and Integral Management of Built Heritage (2014-2021). Nowdays is director of Architectural and Urban Contemporary Heritage-ARURCOHE Erasmus Mundus Joint Master. He has directed many Degree thesis, Degree projects and Master thesis. He has been an Erasmus professor at the La Sapienza university (Rome, 2019), the École Nationale Supérieure d'architecture Paris-Belleville (2017) and at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Montpellier (2018). He has led the Department of Architecture between 2010 and 2015.

He has directed 10 doctoral theses. He did a research stay at the Université de Pau et des pays de l'Adour (2019) and he has participated in 11 research projects. It has 22 articles with relative impact index, 17 articles indexed in other bases (Latindex, Avery), 6 books, two of them SPI, and five chapters of scopus book. He has participated in 27 congresses and has been a reviewer in 2 international magazines SJR.
