Baccalaureate (1988) and Doctor (1995) from the University of Deusto, Master in Educational Psychology and Counseling (Texas A & M University, 1991). Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) since 1996, Associate Professor since 2008. He has taught a wide variety of courses in different Faculties, including Psychology, Pharmacy and Social Work. He has been a member of different Commissions within the Department of Social Psychology and Methodology of Behavioral Sciences (2004-2014), and Coordinator of the Stress Management Program within the Applied Psychology Service of the UPV/EHU; (2002-2012)

He has participated in 11 competitive research projects. He has written 45 impact articles. He is the author of 3 books and co-author of 8 book chapters, and has participated in around 55 national and international conferences. He has been visiting professor at the Roosevelt University of Chicago in two stays of 2 months each.

He has a six-year term recognized by CNEAI. His research focuses on: Burnout and work stress management; Mindfulness and relaxation; Culture, Immigration and Emotional Regulation; Bullying: risk factors and protectors. He teaches in 2 Masters at the UPV / EHU. He has directed 2 Doctoral Theses and 3 in current direction. Associate Editor of the International Journal of Stress Management (Q2), and member of the committee evaluating research projects (Universidad Pontifica Católica del Perú)
