The group HARREMANAK is centered in the analysis and the study of interpersonal relationships from different approaches: attachment theory, psychoanalysis and psychosocial and systemic approach.

We are currently focusing on divorce - separation and its impact on the psychological well-being of the persons involved in it, children and adults. The frequency of separations and divorces is increasing worldwide, according to statistics. In the mid-nineteenth century 5% of the marriages ended in divorce. Today an estimated  50%. In Europe, the crude divorce rate is two divorces per 1000 inhabitants in 2009, almost 40% (Eurostat 2011). A significant number of children and adults is involved in a process of divorce and separation, or will be involved in it in the coming years.

Divorce is certainly a controversial issue. As clinical psychologists, interested in promoting psychological well-being of people in various life situations, divorce and its effects are an interesting subject, with important implications for intervention and prevention.
