François Godicheau is full professor of modern history at the University of Toulouse, France, and is affiliated with the Framespa research center, which he directed from 2018 to 2023. Alongside a line of research on 20th-century Spain, which has produced several books and numerous articles, he has also developed a research focus on the history of public order in the Spanish monarchy, across both hemispheres, between the 18th and 19th centuries. He has coordinated, during the last five years, several books in Spanish and French about these topics.
