European Integration: An Interdisciplinary Debate

Thursday, March 11 – Friday, March 12, 2027
Micaela Portilla Research Center (Vitoria-Gasteiz)

Directors: Beñat Alkain and Iker Otadui

The research seminar "European Integration: An Interdisciplinary Debate" is hereby convened, aimed at early-career researchers, including master's students, as well as predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers. This meeting is conceived as an open, rigorous, and stimulating forum for debate, directed toward analyzing contemporary Europe and, most particularly, the processes of European integration from the 20th century to the present. In the face of new historiographical and institutional questions, the seminar seeks to transcend the mere presentation of papers to become a vibrant space for intellectual exchange. In this way, it will foster collective reflection and the mutual enrichment of ongoing research, promoting a continuous dialogue between disciplines such as history, political science, law, sociology, and international relations.
