Double international degree between L'Université de Strasbourg and UPV/EHU

Degrees available:

  • "Diplôme d'ingénieur-Grade de Master” of L’Université de Strasbourg/Unistra (France), "Degree in Chemistry" and "Master's Degree in Chemistry and Polymers".

  • "Diplôme d'ingénieur-Grade de Master" of L’Université de Strasbourg/Unistra (France), "Degree in Chemistry" and "Master's Degree in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry"

Details of the degrees:

The Faculties of Chemistry and Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU offer a Degree in Chemistry comprising 240 ECTS credits. The degree is structured over four years (G1, G2, G3 and G4). Furthermore, the Master's and Doctorate School offers Master's Degrees in "Chemistry and Polymers" and in "Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry" comprising 60 ECTS credits each (M1).

The École Européenne de Chimie, Polymères et Matériaux (ECPM) of L’Université de Strasbourg (UNISTRA, France) offers a Diplôme d'ingénieur-Grade de Master comprising 180 ECTS credits. The diploma is structured over three years (DI1, DI2 and DI3), and you must have completed 120 ECTS credits of university education to be eligible.

Therefore, the DI1 of UNISTRA is equivalent to G3 of the UPV/EHU, the DI2 of the UNISTRA is equivalent to G4 of the UPV/EHU and the DI3 of the UNISTRA is equivalent to M1 of the UPV/EHU.

To obtain the double degree, students must complete courses DI1 and DI2 at the UNISTRA and M1 at the UPV/EHU.

Admission requirements (5 places)

The selection and admission of Spanish students at the ECPM will correspond to a commission of professors of the UPV/EHU involving the Vice-Rector of International Relations of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences, the Vice-Rector of Infrastructures, Prevention and Security of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Academic Supervisors of the corresponding Master’s Degrees. Admission will be confirmed by a representative of the ECPM.

The level of language required by the Unistra for students who attend courses in French corresponds to a B1 level of French of the "European Portfolio of Languages" of the Council of Europe. Although this is the minimum level for admission, the higher level of B2 is recommended.

To obtain the Triple Degree, students must have a B2+ level of English, supported by an official qualification (TOEIC).

As part of the Double Degree programme, Students of the UPV/EHU may also apply for any grants and scholarships that may be awarded (Erasmus+, etc.).
