I started my professional career in Madrid. I studied a five-year degree in Psychology,

specializing in Social, at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). I graduated in

1998 and received a PhD in Psychology from the UCM (Doctor Europeus mention) in

2008. I completed my master’s degree in Conflict Resolution in 2013 at the Autonomous

University of Barcelona (UAB). I obtained a predoctoral fellowship from the Basque

Government (2000-2002) and in 2009 I joined the UCM as an adjunct professor (2009) and

interim (2010-2013) in the Department of Social Psychology at UCM, becoming a member

of the Psychosociology of Social and Gender Violence Research Group

In 2013, I joined the University of the Basque Country (EHU-UPV) as an assistant

professor in the area of knowledge of Analysis and Conflict Resolution (along with

Professor Dr. Ramón Alzate), in the Department of Basic Psychological Processes and their

Development of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of the Basque Country

(EHU-UPV). I am currently teaching in the field of conflict transformation at the Bachelor

of Sciences (B.Sc.) in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Social Work.

In parallel, I have developed my professional career, first as a social psychologist and then

as a mediator in various fields such as: training of trainers in education in values and

culture of peace, parents’ school (ADI-BIDE, 1998-2004); community-based participatory
