She took a degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences, specialising in Special Education and Orientation at the University of Salamanca (1989) and a doctor's degree in Pedagogy (1998) and a Master's degree in Special Education at the University of Deusto-Bilbao. She has developed a diverse professional career linked to the field of disability and social exclusion, with an extensive career as a trainer in sheltered employment centers or as a teacher of inclusion for 10 years in school, in the stages of infant and compulsory education. Since 2011 she has been working as a teacher at the Bilbao Faculty of Education of the EHU/UPV. She has been a visiting professor at the University of Barcelona and the University of Padova (Italy). She has participated in 7 research projects, being in 2 of them main researcher, on educational inclusion and labour insertion and insertion companies.



She is co-author of 6 scientific articles and 3 books and 9 book chapters, author of 1 book, in the last seven years 12 contributions to national and international congresses.

Its lines of research: quality of life, inclusive education, disability, teacher training, employment and social exclusion.
