Associate Professor in the Department of Philology and History at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). PhD cum laude in Comparative Literature (UPV/EHU) and BA in Romance Languages and Literature from Ghent University (Belgium).
My research focuses on comparative literature, translation studies, imagology, ecocriticism, and the dynamics of minoritized literatures. I contribute to the IBERMAGIC21 project and collaborate in the ENLIGHT Thematic Network LEMuR, promoting linguistic equity in multilingual regions. I’m also a member of CBE i3lab, a living lab for Challenge Based Education.
I have held research stays at CETRA (KU Leuven), Université Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle, and IKER (CNRS/UPPA/UBM), and regularly present at international conferences.
Since 2016, I teach in the French Philology degree and the MA in Comparative Literature and Literary Studies. I also lead Erasmus+ projects like “Connecting Cultures”, recognized by the ENLIGHT alliance as a best practice.
My background includes professional experience as a translator and journalist at EITB, and academic management roles such as program coordinator and currently Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Arts.
