FRANCISCO JAVIER DUOANDIKOETXEA ZUAZO

He got his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at the University of Bilbao (1977), a Diploma of Advanced Studies at the University of Bordeaux (1978) and his Ph. D. at the Autonomous University of Madrid (1985). He taught at this university from 1983 to 1990, when he moved to the University of the Basque Country, where he is Full Professor from 1992. He has been advisor of four Ph. D. thesis (coadvisor in one of them). He chaired the Mathematics department from 1997 to 2000 and the Editorial Service of the University from 2004 to 2009. He has been recognized with 6 six-year research periods and 8 five-year teaching periods.



His main research field is Fourier Analysis. He has published about 50 papers in international journals and as book chapters. He has published also several books, among them Fourier Analysis (American Mathematical Society, 2001; Spanish edition, UAM, 1991), used in several universities through the world. He has been participating in research projects from 1985.



He has given courses in Russia, Italy, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Argentina, and has been invited speaker in a number of meetings. He participates in dissemination activities: articles, talks, radio programs and collaborations in the blog Zientzia Kaiera. He is editor-in-chief of La Gaceta de la Real Sociedad Matemática Española from 2013, associate editor of the Jordan Journal of Mathematics and Statistics from 2016 and was a member of the editorial board of Ekaia.
