The Central Analysis Service of the UPV/EHU. Bizkaia Unit was created to support research, making it available to the University itself, public institutions, and businesses. Its infrastructure allows it to solve a wide variety of problems in the field of research and technological development.

The use of analytical techniques by numerous research groups at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and various companies and technology centers in the region is becoming increasingly common, with growing requirements in terms of precision, accuracy, sensitivity, etc. Numerous sectors of industry, services, and public institutions recognize the need to perform analytical determinations with entirely different objectives and purposes and in compliance with ISO quality standards.

The Service has a state-of-the-art instrumentation that is continually updated.

The services offered by this unit cover diverse areas of science, such as bioanalytical analysis for the analysis of pharmaceuticals, drugs in biological fluids, lipid analysis, environmental analysis for the analysis of urban and industrial atmospheres, pesticide persistence, analysis of contaminated water and soil, etc., health and food sciences, geology, industrial production, etc.

General rules

To access the Bizkaia Central Analysis Service Unit, the requirements established in the Protocol for access to the SGIker and for the use of available services must be met.

The request for a service is made through the IKERKUDE application, which will help you maintain the traceability of all the work you carry out in the SGIker. When requesting a service, the user knows and accepts the access protocol and the rate that will be applied for the services provided.

The Central Analysis Service has equipment located in two locations within the Bizkaia Campus:
