Physics B.S. ; Electronics and Control Engineering MSc (1986)

Specialized in several fields related to Computer Science and Computer Engineering: programming languages, computer architecture, operating systems and computer networks.

Long-time experience with diverse Unix operating systems and derivatives, including systems administration, systems programming, configuration and deployment. FreeBSD is his operating system of choice for servers, and OS X for personal computers. He avoids Windows at all costs with 99.9999% success.

Member of the SPIN RG (previously Pattern Recognition and Speech Technologies research group) since its beginnings.

Currently working on his PhD about detection of emotions in spanish language texts.
