Rosa María Río-Belver es Doctora Ingeniera Industrial, especialidad Organización. Máster en Ciencias y Tecnologías Ambientales (UPV/EHU) y Máster en Gestión de la Innovación (AENOR). Es Profesora Titular de Universidad en la Universidad del País Vasco UPV/EHU; impartiendo asignaturas como Investigación Operativa, Política Industrial y Tecnológica y Competitividad-Innovación. Sus principales intereses de investigación se centran en la gestión de la innovación, la inteligencia competitiva, los mapas tecnológicos, las tecnologías emergentes, la minería tecnológica, la ingeniería del conocimiento y la prospectiva. Es autora de numerosos artículos y participa en proyectos nacionales y europeos.

Javier Fernández Aguirrebeña (UPV/EHU Universidad del País Vasco)

Ingeniero Industrial y Título de Suficiencia Investigadora (Diploma de Estudios Avanzados DEA) por la Universidad del País Vasco. Actualmente su actividad docente como Profesor Asociado a tiempo parcial se centra en el área de Gestión de la Calidad impartiendo docencia en todas las ediciones del Master en Ingeniería de Organización Industrial (MIOI) desde su inicio en Sep/2015 con la asignatura Calidad aplicada a la gestión empresarial. Desde hace 21 años también imparte docencia en la Escuela de Ingeniería de Vitoria - Gasteiz con prácticas de laboratorio de Simulación de la Producción dentro de la asignatura de Organización de la Producción, así como la asignatura de Economía y Administración de Empresas y ha tutorizado más de 40 Trabajos Fin de Grado.

Aitor Ruiz de la Torre Acha (UPV/EHU Universidad del País Vasco)

Aitor Ruiz de la Torre es Doctor en Gestión Avanzada de Organizaciones y Economía Social y Master en Dirección de Empresas MBA. Actualmente es profesor en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Vitoria-Gasteiz de la Universidad del País Vasco UPV/EHU; impartiendo asignaturas como Métodos estadísticos en la industria del automóvil, Calidad y Logística, Gestión de empresas y Producción (incluyendo simulación y prácticas de laboratorio en todas las titulaciones de la facultad de ingeniería). Antes de incorporarse a la universidad, trabajó en Fagor Arrasate durante más de 8 años, desarrollando su actividad en las áreas de compras y logística en las plantas de fabricación de España y China.

Dr. Luca Gualtieri (Postdoc at Smart Mini Factory lab, Free University of Bolzano, Italy)

Luca Gualtieri holds a Ph.D. in industrial collaborative robotics at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and is a certified Occupational Health and Safety Manager and Trainer specialized on safety of machinery. He is working in the Smart Mini Factory lab as research fellow for the Industrial Engineering and Automation (IEA) group of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He is responsible for research in the field of industrial collaborative robotics. In particular, he is focusing on human–robot interaction from the point of view of the operator’s occupational health and safety, ergonomics, and shared workplace organization. He participated in many European-funded project calls as well as collaborating with private companies in industrial projects.

Matteo De Marchi (Smart Mini Factory lab, Free University of Bolzano, Italy)

“Matteo De Marchi received his B.Sc. in Industrial Mechanical Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano with a thesis about hybrid communication architectures for Cyber-Physical Production Systems (CPPS) and a Master in the same engineering field with a thesis on the validation of cognitive ergonomics in industrial Human-Robot Collaboration. He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate operating his research in the field of Digital Twin development and remote control of CPPS at the Engineering Faculty of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He is collaborating with the research team of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory for Industry 4.0 and his related research topics are discrete-event simulation in production, AI for industrial applications, and architectural design of DT and CPPS.”

Erwin Rauch (Free University of Bolzano, Italy)

Prof. Erwin Rauch received his B.Sc. in Logistics and Production Engineering from the Free University in Bolzano (Italy). He also holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Munich (TUM) and a M.Sc. in Business Administration from the TUM Business School. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart with summa cum laude. Currently he is an Associate Professor for Manufacturing Technology and Systems at the Free University of Bolzano. In addition he is the Head of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory for Industry 4.0. He is also the author of over 200 scientific contributions and an expert/member of various associations and organisations (Associate Member EuroScience, Expert Group World Manufacturing Forum, EPIEM Steering Board).

Chiara Nezzi

Chiara Nezzi (Free University of Bolzano, Italy)

Dott. Chiara Nezzi is a PhD student and research fellow at the Free University of Bolzano. Since July 2022, she is working as a research fellow for the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory on the topic of Digital Twin-based applications for the optimization of energy efficiency of machinery and for virtual commissioning. She concluded both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering at the Free University of Bozen, respectively in 2018 and in 2020. From 2020 to 2022, she successfully attended the state examination for the qualification as professional engineer (section A) at the University of Parma; she worked as external collaborator with the Smart Mini Factory of the Free University of Bozen in the context of a project commissioned by a South-Tyrolean company and she was also holder of an annual research grant about the topic of sustainability applied to the building sector. Lastly, she gained experience in academic teaching with a course in Technical Drawing – CAD.
