Brief description:  TETRIS project aims to define a Technology Transfer Innovation Scheme with the expertise of European universities. No one size fits all. Local context and ecosystem, wide variety of industries, service sectors require customisable solutions. The project gives a holistic approach and set of tools that can be applied to each situation taking into consideration the local characteristics and needs. Innovation is tackled by providing a wide range of capacity building tools. The innovative character of the project is demonstrated by the following elements:

1. Innovative set of tools to assess the performance of the Technology Transfer related activities and supporting infrastructure in its full complexity. It will consist of a methodology and a detailed process with a set of indicators (TT Performance Assessment Guidelines). The know-how of the assessment will provide a unique opportunity to the Partner Country HEIs to become a reference centre at regional/national level and can lead to further assignments for the University from other members of the local higher educational scene.

2. The final output of the project is meant to be a Technology Transfer Innovation Scheme composed of different building blocks comprising state of the art knowledge, best practices and models. Each Partner Country HEI will select and adopt those elements of the building blocks that fit to the strategy of the University while maintaining the consistency and complexity. The diversity of the consortium in terms of the maturity level, research and/or academic orientation and role in the local ecosystem of the participating universities reflects the landscape of the Latin American Higher Education and demands the project to deliver customisable and adaptable results. The outcome of the project entails the Partner universities to become references for other higher education institutions that helps in achieving sustainability.

3.Establishment of a transnational co-operation network among the Technology Transfer units of the participating Universities will leverage the research and commercialisation potential of the HEIs by simply sharing and exchanging the upcoming valorisation opportunities.
