The Faculty of Science and Technology is a higher education centre of the University of the Basque Country (EHU) with a long-standing tradition in teaching and research. In the 2018/2019 academic year, the Faculty celebrated its 50th anniversary, further consolidating its position as a benchmark institution in higher education and knowledge generation.

The Faculty offers nine Bachelor's degree programmes in Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Physics, Geology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Electronic Engineering and Chemical Engineering, as well as a double degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering. In addition, three international double-degree programmes have been established in Electronic Engineering (with the University of Limoges), Chemistry (with the University of Strasbourg) and Mathematics (with the University of Pau and the Adour Region).

Our postgraduate offer is broad and diverse, comprising nine official Master's programmes, six of which are inter-university programmes and four Erasmus Mundus programmes, as well as four proprietary postgraduate degrees. Thanks to the recognised research excellence of the Faculty's research groups, students can pursue postgraduate studies that are closely linked to both cutting-edge research and the practical application of the knowledge acquired during their undergraduate studies.

With the aim of providing a comprehensive educational experience, the Faculty strongly promotes both student mobility and the recruitment of international students, fostering a diverse and international academic environment. Furthermore, our internship programme continues to grow each year, increasing both the number of partner organisations and participating students. Internationalisation and professional experience, together with our Cultural Wednesdays programme, constitute the pillars of an education that goes beyond technical training. Our goal is to educate not only highly skilled professionals but also socially engaged individuals prepared to meet the challenges of a constantly changing society.

Our academic staff is one of the Faculty's greatest strengths. Their high level of qualification, commitment to teaching and outstanding research activity ensure a quality education closely linked to scientific advances and societal needs. Their work contributes decisively to the Faculty's prestige and recognition.

Likewise, the Technical, Administrative and Service Staff (PTGAS) play an essential role in the Faculty's operation. Their professionalism, dedication and responsiveness ensure the effective development of teaching, research and management activities, making a significant contribution to the quality of services and support provided to the entire university community.

The Faculty is firmly committed to quality and continuous improvement through its Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS). This commitment has been recognised through various awards and accreditations, including the renewal of its institutional accreditation in 2024. In addition, its strategic plans and robust organisational structure guarantee the management, evaluation and continuous enhancement of its degree programmes, consolidating a culture of quality fully integrated into the Faculty's activities.
