Short biography

Dr Bénédicte Morin (female) is Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Ecotoxicology is the co-author of 84 publications with impact factor indexed in Scopus (H index 21, total citations> 1320), 6 book chapters and one patent. She has made more than 130 communications in international conferences. Has supervised or co-supervised 59 Bachelor’s Thesis, 23 Master 2 Thesis and 7 PhD Thesis. Since 2015, she has been involved in 10 research projects on microplastic contamination and their effects on aquatic species. Research interests focus on combined effects of pollution, climate change and environmental disturbance on aquatic organism (fish and invertebrates). Biological effects induced by traditional or emerging compouds (microplastics, nanoparticles, pharmaceuticals, pesticides...) are investigated using structural and functional analysis at the molecular, cellular and biochemical  levels. She has particular interest on functions such as reproduction (including embryonic development), genotoxicity and behavior using early developmental stages and  alternative tools to animal testing such as fish cell lines.
