Biography

Laura Vignau Arsuaga completed her degree on Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2018. In 2019 she did the master's degree “Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry” at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU (Bilbao). Later, she worked as a quality technician in a company.

In September 2021 she joined the "Materials + Technologies" group in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the UPV/EHU with a research staff contract. Later she obtained a pre-doctoral scholarship funded by the Basque Government and started her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dr. Nagore Gabilondo and Dr. Arantxa Eceiza.

Research

Laura Vignau Arsuaga is doing her doctoral thesis "Use of agricultural waste for plastic biosynthesis and development of bioactive nanofiber meshes by electrospinning" where she focuses on different biodegradable polymers seeking to favor the environment through the revaluation of agricultural waste.
