Dr. Oier Lopez de Lacalle (ORCID ID 0000-0003-4969-2055) is a B.Eng in Informatics (2003), received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2009 from the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU). He is currently working as lecturer at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and a researcher at the CLEVER consortium for the BETTER program (IARPA-BAA-18-05) in the IXA group of the UPV / EHU. He also was a researcher hired by Ikerbasque (BFI-2011- 442) at the University of Edinburgh. In these years he has published more than 50 articles in journals and international conferences in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). His research focuses mainly on semantic processing and information extraction using probabilistic modelling and deep learning algorithms. The contributions include 4 publications in journals according to the Journal Citation Report (JCR), 10 articles in high-level congresses (CORE A and A+), 3 chapter in books. He is a regular reviewer in prestigious international journals such as LRE, JNLE, and IEEE. In addition, he has participated in prestigious international congress committee programs such as ECAI, AAAI, EACL, NAACL, ACL, EMNLP, and IJCNLP. The researcher Dr. Lopez de Lacalle has participated in several European and state-wide projects. Among the European projects are: MEANING, KYOTO, PATHS, NEWSREADER, READERS and MUSTER; among the state ones we could cite ANHITZ, WNTERM, BERBATEK, KNOW2 or BER2TEK, among others.
