Mª Luz de la Cal holds a PhD in Economics and is senior lecturer in the University of the Basque Country from 1990. She teaches graduate and postgraduate programmes in the Faculty of Labour Relations and Social Work and in Official Master Studies (Human Resources and Employment Management; Feminist Studies and Gender, Social and Solidarity Economics and Globalization and Development. Her field of research includes labour economy, poverty, social protection and gender studies. She was a member of the Basque Economic and Social Council from 2000 to 2010 and the director of the Human Resources and Employment Management Master from 2012 to 2018.
