Inés got her Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (2020) and her Master in Science in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology from the Plentzia Marine Station (PiE-UVP/EHU) (2021). Her master thesis was focused on the development of analytical methodologies to determine antibiotics in vegetables using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). In 2022, she started her PhD within the PhD program Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, under the supervision of Ailette Prieto and Olatz Zuloaga. Her work is focused on the analysis of environmental pollutants in breath milk using low and high-resolution mass spectrometry combined with liquid chromatography (LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS) and gas chromatography (GC-MS, GC-HRMS). Using these strategies to analyze human breath milk samples coming from biobanks, she wants to elucidate the human exposome in such an important matrix during the first years of life.
