Our research group is organizing, in collaboration with the International Society for Children’s Health and the Environment (ISCHE), the organization’s annual retreat, known as the 2026 ISCHE Retreat. This conference will be held from August 25 to 29, 2026, in Arantzazu, under the theme “Place Matters: Spatial and Social Determinants of Child Health Globally.” ISCHE’s mission is to reduce the impact of adverse chemical, physical, biological, and social influences on children’s health through research, public policy, training, and education. ISCHE retreats are known for being particularly dynamic and interactive gatherings. They are not structured like a traditional conference but instead use participatory formats designed to foster connections among participants, promote in-depth discussions, and generate concrete actions addressing the challenges of children’s environmental health.
