Basque Environmental Health Research Group (B-EHRG)
The Basque Environmental Health Research Group (B-EHRG), formerly known as EANPsi, is a multidisciplinary research team based at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), with over 15 years of experience in environmental health research. The main objective of the B-EHRG research group is to analyze environmental exposures from a comprehensive perspective, both by describing and analyzing these exposures in biological samples and by assessing their impact on the general population and specific groups. Furthermore, it investigates the relationships between these exposures and health, while also analyzing the knowledge and perceptions of the general public and health and environmental professionals regarding the potential health effects of these exposures. Finally, it also analyzes the health effects of facilities with environmental impact. B-EHRG researchers are also active members of the Public Health and Environmental Epidemiology research group at the IIS Biogipuzkoa, led by Jesús Ibarluzea and Aitana Lertxundi, and form part of Group 28 within the CIBERESP consortium.
