Until 2006 he was involved in projects related to the manufacture of photovoltaic solar cells, a field in which he developed his doctoral thesis. He is co-author of several articles, conference papers and patents related to photovoltaic technology.
His academic activity is currently focused on the issue of sustainability, an area in which he has produced several publications and scientific and technical documents related to the transition to a more sustainable society, the problems of transport and sustainability, and waste management and treatment. He collaborates with various social agents on issues related to sustainability.
