Aresatz Usobiaga Epelde, PhD in Chemistry (UPV / EHU, 2001) and University lecturer in the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the UPV / EHU (2009). Member of the IBeA research group (high performance group in which 17 other PhDs and more than 20 pre- and postdoctoral researchers participate.
During the pre-doctoral period, she worked on the study of conductivity measurements of electrolyte solutions with the aim of improving the control of fluorinated compounds production processes for Derivados de Flúor, SL (Ontón, Cantabria).
Subsequently, research work has focused on environmental analysis (organic micropollutants) and toxicology, and he has collaborated in projects with technology-based companies (recovery of bioactive compounds in food and agricultural waste) leading a scientific-technological incubation project (SAIOTEK 2012, Basque Government), a contract with the company IDOKI, SL and a contract with the company Pot Sistemak S. L. She currently leads a contract with the company Pot Sistemak S. L. She has recently leading a contract with the company Sovereingn Fields S.L., which is being carried out under licence from the Medicines Agency (Metabolomic study of Cannabis Sativa L. cultures and determination of contaminants in medical cannabis plants, 04/2021 - 09/2022).
