Biochemistry Grade. PhD in Physiology by UPV/EHU.
I obtain my PhD degree in 2007 in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) with a work about polymorphisms associated to the result of a in vitro fertilization therapy. I started my postdoctoral research in The Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), University of Navarra (2007-2009), in Gene Therapy and Viral Hepatitis. Later I moved back to UPV/EHU (2009-2011), to Dr. Aspichueta’s group, who is working in metabolic alterations associated to Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Since I returned to UPV/EHU in 2009 I am working with Dr. Aspichueta and her group in different projects including metabolism, ageing, cancer... We use experimental models including cell cultures and animal models.
