Graduate in Basque Philology (University of Deusto, 2007), Master in Basque Philology and Linguistics (UPV/EHU, 2010), and PdH in Basque Studies (2020). He was a professor at the Faculty of Education in Bilbao (2017-2020). Currently, he is a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies at the Faculty of Arts. He is a member of the editorial committee of the journals "Fontes Linguae Vasconum" and "Uztaro".
His main research interests are Dialectology, Philology and Historical Linguistics, and he has presented and published editions of Basque texts and works on diachronic dialectology and historical sociolinguistics.
