Iñaki Ortigosa Egiraun (Bilbao, 1961), professor of Latin Philology at the University of the Basque Country since 1994 and coordinator of this subject area at the Basque Faculty of Arts since 2007, began his career researching on Latin grammar, boundaries between Latin and Castilian romance and influences of Latin in Basque. More recently his lectures and research are focused on the Classical Tradition and its influence on Medieval Literature and Basque Tradition.
