Born in Chambéry (France) in 1970. In 1994 she obtained a degree in German Philology from the University of Salamanca. She received a scholarship from the joint DAAD-la Caixa and the Berlin Parliament programme for a doctoral thesis entitled Manifesto and Avantgarde: An attempt to define the genre through the manifestos of Futurism, Dada and Surrealism, with which she obtained her doctoral degree from the University of Salamanca in November 2000. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of German Philology at the University of the Basque Country. Main lines of research: historical avant-garde, censorship in translation and intersemiotic translation (literature-cinema). She is the author of several publications in Spanish, French and German university journals, as well as collective volumes, and is a translator. She has published the book Manifiesto y Vanguardia: los manifiestos del futurismo italiano, Dadá y el surrealismo. She has also participated in various research projects, including the TRACE project and the TRALIMA consolidated research group. She has been president of the association GERN (Germanists of Euskadi, Rioja and Navarra) and the FAGE (Federation of Associations of Germanists in Spain). He is fluent in English, French and Portuguese, as well as German, and has an advanced knowledge of Basque and Italian and intermediate in Catalan. Her mother tongues are Spanish and Galician.
