Acquired skills

These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:

  • G001. Conceive, calculate, design, evaluate, optimise and manage plants, equipments or processes in which matter undergoes changes in morphology, composition, state, energy or reactivity.
  • G002. Acquire a relevant knowledge of basic sciences, chemistry, biology, physics and mathematical tools, that allows comprehension, description and solution of problems of Chemical Engineering, as well as the learning of new methods and theories.
  • G003. Have a good command of Chemical Engineering in order to be capable of planning, writing and developing projects in the various fields of Chemical Engineering, thereby defining their economical, social and environmental viability.
  • G004. Acquire a relevant knowledge of the basic aspects of the common technological topics, such as circuit theory, electrical machines and electronics. Besides, know the principles of machine theory and mechanisms. Likewise, know and apply the principles of resistance of materials.
  • G005. Apply technical solutions for prevention and remediation of environmental impacts on an existing process or a process in a design phase, preserving industrial and safety, on an industrial level and its surrounding as well.
  • G006. Discriminate alternatives and introduce improvements in chemical processes, on the basis innovative trends of industry and product engineering, looking at an improved quality while taking into consideration criteria based on production, economy and sustainability.
  • G007. Schedule and coordinate knowledge and activities on the different scales of manufacturing processes of Chemical Industry.
  • G008. Prepare technical reports, carry out studies and make experimental measurements and calculations, and other analogous tasks.
  • G009. Ability to handle specifications, regulations and mandatory rules.
  • G011. Versatility for adapting to new situations and solving problems with initiative, creativity, critical thinking, ethical commitment and promotion of peace.
  • G012. Communicate and transferring knowledge, results, abilities and skills, in a multidisciplinary and multilingual context.
  • G013. Organise, schedule and play a leading role in work teams with acknowledgement of diversity, equality of rights and non-discrimination.
  • G014. Develop learning abilities in order to deal with specialised studies and research with a high level of personal autonomy.
  • G015. Write, schedule and manage the activities related to the running of a project in the field of Chemical Industry.
  • G016. Ability of organising and planning in the industrial context and other institutions and organisations.
