She obtained a degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering in 2015 at the Faculty of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz (UPV/EHU) and completed a Master's Degree in Research in Environmental Engineering (UPV/EHU-UC, obtaining the recognition as the best student of the promotion). In 2021, she obtained the PhD in Environmental Engineering with international mention at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) entitled “Copper solubilization strategies for mold biomachining and bioleaching from printed circuit boards”. During her PhD, she completed an international stay at the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG).

Since September 2023, she is working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz (UPV/EHU) in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

Her research work is carried out within the BIOFILTRATION research group of the UPV/EHU and works mainly on the bioleaching of metals. During her research work, she has participated in several projects and has participated in more than 15 international conferences.
