Txaro Arrazola graduated from UPV/EHU in 1988. Fulbright Scholarship (1996-1997) and MFA at New York State University (SUNY Purchase College, 1996-1998). Doctor of Fine Arts (2012) at UPV/EHU. Her work is characterized by social commitment, feminist criticism of representation, and research into collaborative methodologies. She combines her art practice on painting, with another interdisciplinary and intergroup projects, which include actions in public space with Platform A.

Since 1999 she has been a professor in the Department of Painting of the UPV/EHU; since 2016 she has been the Principal Investigator of the AIF (Art, Research and Feminism) group at the University of the Basque Country.

Her work have been exhibited, among others, in the Vanguardia Gallery (Bilbao, 2019), the Pedro Modesto Campos Foundation (Tenerife, 2007), the Montehermoso Cultural Centre (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 2008, 2005), and in Kunstarkad Der Stadt (Munich, 2008), Arteko Gallery (San Sebastian, 2010), ARCO Madrid (2011), Art Educates the World (New York, 2002), Extraños en el paraíso (Beijing, 2007 and Tokyo, 2008), Image Talks (Hasselt, Belgium 2015), Azimuth (Hasselt, Belgium 2018), Apeiron (Montevideo, Uruguay 2018), Artium Museoa. Museum of Contemporary Art of the Basque Country (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 2021-2022).
