Elena Leiñena Mendizabal is an Associated Professor of Corporate Law at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Bachelor’s Degree in Law (1993) and Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration and Management (1982) (UPV/EHU). PhD in Law (University of Barcelona 2008).
She is a bilingual professor since 1998 at the UPV/EHU and teaches in different degrees: Advocacy Master’s Degree (Faculty of Law), BA in Advertising and Public Relations, BA in Labour Relations and Human Resources. She participates in the IKD structured group Ecodefy and she has published didactics text based in cooperative and dynamic learning (IKD method) as well as a student’s book in Basque.
She is a researcher in several R+D+i Projects of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and in the consolidated research Group of the Basque University System on business ethics (category A).
Her fields of research are Unfair Competition and Advertising Law, gender equality in Corporate and Foundations Law and Transport Law. Collaborations: Revista de Derecho Mercantil and Revista de Derecho del Transporte.
She also organizes courses of knowledge transfer (UPV/EHU): Course of Economy, Business and Gender, Course of Corporate Law and Course of Advertising Law.
She is arbitrator of the Arbitration System for Consumer Affairs of Euskadi
