EDUARDO HERRERA FERNANDEZ

Graduate (1985) and Doctor (1994) in Fine Arts from the UPV / EHU. Since 1986 he has been a professor of Graphic Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts. In his teaching work, he teaches the disciplines of typography, typographic design and digitization, corporate visual identity and editorial design. He is a teaching collaborator at the CETIC (Center for Information and Communication Technologies) in Vitoria. Since 2002 he has been co-director of the Graphic Design Workshop of the UPV / EHU Summer Courses. Co-director of the university projection space "Arantzazu Letraz Gunea". He has been visiting professor, among other centers, at the Facoltá del Design del Politécnico di Milano, Technological Educational Institution of Athens, Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco ... In his research work He is co-director of the Research Group in Graphic Design and Typography at the UPV / EHU «Letraz» . Research lines: typographic design, typographic digitization, visual identity, visual rhetoric, writing and discourse, editorial graphics, poster design, color in graphic design, etc. He has been awarded with different national and international awards, standing out the «Clap Platinum» Award for the best typeface design, «Juan de Yciar» Award for Editorial Quality, National Anuaria Design Award, Gold Letter Award for Visual and Graphic Communication Environment...
