Bachelor’s in Chemistry (2006), MSc in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology (CTA, 2007) and PhD in Analytical Chemistry (European mention, 2011). Associate professor at the Applied Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Chemistry. His research activity is focused on the inorganic analysis by ICP-MS and the analytical speciation through chromatographic techniques (GC and HPLC) coupled to ICP-MS. He has participated in more than 20 projects obtained from international and multidisciplinary competitive calls (Interreg, MICINN, Basque Government, UPV/EHU) based on the monitoring, characterization and diagnostic of the impact of contaminants in the Environment and the Heritage. Recently, on the food safety field, he has started a new research line based on the speciation of Se and Hg in tuna. He has authored more than 30 scientific publications, most of them with a high impact index (Q1). He has also presented more than 40 contributions at international conferences as well as scientific outreach publications.
