During his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (2023), he did an internship at Aquambiente Servicios para el Sector del Agua, S.A.U., and at Gaiker technology centre. In 2024 he completed a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country and the University of Cantabria (UC), during which he did a stay at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) through the Erasmus+Master programme.

He began his research activity in 2024 in the laboratories of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the UPV/EHU to carry out his Master's Thesis in Chemical Engineering. In 2025, the Department of Science, Universities and Innovation from the Basque Government awarded him the predoctoral fellowship for Non-Doctoral Research Personnel to carry out his doctoral thesis. His thesis focuses on the carbonation of steel slag in confined conical spouted beds, supvised by Martin Olazar and Xabier Sukunza, with the aim of revalorizing steel slag in green concrete through CO2 capture.

He belongs to the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization research group. He is part of the research line aimed at capturing CO2 through the carbonation process using the spouted bed technology.
