BsC in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU, 2009) and PhD in Chemical Engineering with international mention (UPV/EHU, 2013). In 2009 I joined Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization (CPWV) research group to carry out my doctoral thesis. I did a predoctoral research stay at the University of Saskatchewan (Candada, july-november, 2019) under the supervision of Prof. Dalai, working on Fischer-Tropsch process. Between 2011 and 2015 I shared my research activities with a temporary teaching contract. In september 2016 I was hired as Assistant Professor and in August 2021, I got my permanent position as Associate Professor.
My research work focuses on the production of high-value-added products, such as light olefins (ethylene and propylene), fuels (gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel), and aromatic compounds (benzene, toluene, and xylene), particularly using alternative raw materials to petroleum (biomass, waste, and CO₂ valorization). I have participated in 18 research projects and 67 national and international conferences. I have published 26 articles in JCR-indexed journals (h=16, Scopus). Additionally, I have two recognized research periods (sexenios) and I have supervised two PhD theses with international mention.
Coordinator of External Internships and the third year of the Chemical Engineering degree (2019-2025), member of the Equality Committee (2021-2025), and the coordinator of the "Chemistry in Action" initiative (2019-2025). Currently, since February 2025, I am responsible for the Degree Directorate in the Vice-Rectorate for Degrees and Digital Transformation.
